We have photographed over 1000 weddings from San Francisco to LA (Now Vegas!) and have enjoyed everyone of them! Now were giving back to future Brides, with the experience of 20 years by photographing your wedding for $750! How is this possible?

I won't bore you with the details, but an eight hour wedding typically amounts to at least two to three full 40 hour work weeks worth of time. Again, a charge of $4,000 for an eight hour wedding does not equal $500 / hour.

Shooting professional photography is a skill, acquired through years of experience. Even though a quality camera now costs under $2,000 taking professional portraits involves much more than a nice camera.
Most Professional Photographers take years to go from buying their first decent camera to making money with their photography. In addition to learning how to use the camera itself, there is a mountain of other equipment involved, as well as numerous software programs used to edit and print photographs, run a website etc.
And let's not forget that you actually have to have people skills, be able to communicate, make people comfortable in front of the camera - and posing people to make them look their best in a photograph is a skill all by itself.
Here is a good way to explain it to your clients - the next time they pay $50 to get their hair done, consider that a pair of scissors only costs $1.50. They will gladly pay a lot more to hire a professional.
We at Weddings by Charles do not charge $4,000 for a wedding any-more. If you want us to take care of everything then we can step in. However the clients we choose would love good work but need to save money.
We cater to that client for many reasons. Just ask why. It all started when I attended a wedding. One of the brides close friends photographed her wedding. He said he shot one before. (One) We've shot over 1000. They are no longer friends of the family any-more. Can you imagine why?
